Our Impact
On July 4, 2023 Frank Scherr Memorial Inc. presented a check for $16,000 to Oahe Hills Golf Course. This was the biggest donation in our 10 year history with a total of $98,000 donated to the community of mobridge. We want to thank all of our sponsors, contributors, volunteers, and the great city of mobridge for your support. The tournament truly was a celebration of Frank’s love of family, friends, golf, competition, rodeo, and the community.

2021 - 2023 Oahe Hills Golf Course

Since 2021, Frank Scherr Memorial Inc. hAS donated $43,000 to Oahe Hills golf course for the renovation of the deck on the clubhouse. In alignment with our mission statement of preserving, revitalizing, and strengthening the community of Mobridge through the sport of golf we are pleased to partner with Oahe Hills. It is our hope that through the expansion and beautification of the course, Oahe Hills will be able to offer a golf experience like no other in the area.

2014-2020 Mobridge Rodeo Association
From 2014-2020 The “Spikes for Spurs” Golf Tournament donated all proceeds to Mobridge Rodeo Association. The Sitting Bull Stampede Rodeo Grounds is a local landmark which celebrated its 75th Anniversary in 2020. the golf tournament has donated a total of $55,000 to renovating the rodeo grounds.
the renovation project not only will provide a new grandstand, but will create a beautiful community space which can host other events like reunions, company picnics, weddings, and even concerts.
The new rodeo grounds will contribute to a vibrant Mobridge community and will ensure opportunities for future generations through a potential high school rodeo team and by providing the people of Mobridge with a space to celebrate family, friends, and the sport of rodeo.
